Daisy is currently based in New York City, but she is from Los Angeles and attended Brentwood School herself before studying Human and Organizational Development at Vanderbilt University. At Vanderbilt, Daisy was a tour guide and worked closely with the admissions office.
She has 10 years of tutoring experience at elite Los Angeles private high schools and over three years of college admissions experience, including a specialization in essay writing and editing, as well as excellent results with interview and standardized test preparation.
Daisy’s backgrounds in organizational psychology, human development, and elementary education have equipped her to work with students of all experiences, interests, and learning styles. She specializes in creative writing and helps students differentiate themselves and showcase their personalities through their essays. Daisy excels at working with students to build a strong resume throughout high school, from strategic course selection to diverse extracurricular activities and competitive summer programs. Her favorite part of the application process is building a comprehensive list of schools that her student is excited about. She motivates her students to beat procrastination and stay organized and focused.
Daisy’s counseling method emphasizes student ownership of their college application process, and she truly enjoys getting to know her students and their families. Daisy’s goals as a college counselor are building students’ confidence, reducing stress as much as possible, and finding the fun in the college process!
- She was the recruitment chair of her sorority at Vanderbilt for two years.
- Daisy founded a nonprofit organization to donate laptops to students in the foster care system and continues volunteer work and advocacy with the foster youth community.
