Lynelle draws on her years of experience as an award-winning creative marketing executive and writing expert to help students master the college planning and application process. With strategic and thoughtful mentorship, Lynelle guides students to discover their own paths, determine their genuine interests, and build strong narratives, giving them an edge in the competitive admissions landscape.
Lynelle learned how to craft impactful stories as a double major in English and Communications at the University of Pennsylvania. She then discovered her passion for college counseling while volunteering for a non-profit that mentors teens in creative writing. Lynelle uses techniques that inspire even the most reluctant writers to pinpoint their ideal topics and develop unique voices in order to distinguish themselves authentically and communicate their goals effectively in their essays.
Lynelle provides students from all backgrounds with comprehensive guidance in selecting classes, activities, and majors; creating best-fit college lists; and developing stand-out essays. She is a cheerleader for her students, and her positivity, support, and personalized advice have helped students gain acceptances to their top schools, including the Ivy League, the University of California system, distinguished liberal arts colleges, and some of the most popular private and public universities in the country. Lynelle also helped two students who were accepted at Vanderbilt earn the highly prestigious, full-tuition Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship.
- She earned multiple awards including a Key Art Best of Show Award from The Hollywood Reporter for her entertainment advertising work.
- Lynelle created a children’s book series, which includes a picture book and three chapter books, that has achieved over 70K sales and downloads.
- She studied film at a program at the Cannes Film Festival during college.
- She developed a fun-filled curriculum that teaches Girl Scouts creative writing and helps them earn their Storyteller, Scribe, and Screenwriter badges.
- She enjoys swimming in pools heated to 84 degrees or higher, tap dancing on any available floor, and crushing the competition in charades.
- Lynelle was once levitated by acclaimed magicians, Penn & Teller, at a show in front of an audience of thousands (she doesn’t know how they did it).
