Monica is an arts educator with more than a decade of experience teaching and mentoring students at both the university and K–12 levels. With advanced training in studio art and art education, she has guided students in developing portfolios, refining artist statements, and navigating complex academic and creative challenges. She holds an MFA in Ceramics from California State University, Fullerton, an MA in Art Education from Case Western Reserve University, and a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art. Throughout her career, Monica has taught in universities, museums, school classrooms, and community art centers, giving her broad experience supporting students across a range of learning environments.
In addition to her teaching work, Monica has coordinated educational programs in museum and community arts settings, designing initiatives that connect young learners with university environments and help them see higher education as both accessible and meaningful. She takes a strategic and supportive approach to the college application process, helping students identify their strengths, develop compelling portfolios, and present their creative work with clarity and confidence. Monica is also an exhibiting artist whose work in ceramics, sculpture, glass, and mixed media has been shown in galleries across the United States.
