Over the last decade, Taylor has worked in education as a humanities teacher, educational coach for neurodiverse students, and college counselor. While studying psychology in college, she became fascinated by how people learn and communicate. This inspired her to volunteer at her university's writing center, assisting students with dyslexia and ADHD.
After graduating, she pursued a Master’s in Secondary Education from The Citadel, where she worked as an editor for the Cadet Activities department. Upon completing her degree, she became a high school teacher, where she was selected for Furman University’s Teachers of Government Program, named Teacher of the Year, and chosen as a C-SPAN Teaching Fellow.
Taylor then moved to Latin America, where she worked as an International Baccalaureate teacher before becoming a college counselor. Through her counseling work, she has helped students gain admission to top universities in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, and Latin America. Well-versed in various application systems, Taylor helps students create authentic applications and develop balanced university lists. Her background in psychology and classroom experience enables her to provide a supportive environment, particularly for students who have mental health challenges or learning differences.
Ultimately, Taylor wants to support her students in whatever ways are most beneficial, whether it’s sharing her knowledge of the application process, helping them discover their dream schools, finding their voices in their personal statements, or providing the structure and encouragement they need to succeed.
