Ali has over ten years of experience with students as a tutor and college counselor. Ali also teaches academic boot camps and has aided our senior staff in keeping our test-prep curriculum up-to-date, making her an expert on the ever-evolving testing landscape.
She emphasizes a holistic approach to test preparation, which includes strengthening areas students show a natural aptitude for, experimenting with unorthodox strategies to create individual approaches for each student’s unique struggles, and helping students recognize patterns and techniques to succeed on standardized tests.
She is also an advocate for humanities education and an expert in the AP Humanities courses. She aims to excite students about English and History and equip her clients with skills that turn them into organized and self-advocating students, critical thinkers, and eloquent writers, which will serve them in college and beyond.
Her background in college counseling makes her an asset to families who want a hand with all parts of the college preparation process; she takes great pride in helping students succeed in their first AP class, coaching them on the SAT or ACT, and helping them craft college lists and essays that showcase their unique voice.
